Transcranial Color-Coded Duplex (TCCD) ultrasonography is a non-invasive imaging modality that provides real-time visualization of intracranial blood vessels with color-coded flow information. Unlike standard transcranial Doppler, TCCD offers anatomical visualization alongside flow velocity measurements, improving accuracy of vessel identification and stenosis detection. This technique is particularly valuable for monitoring vasospasm in subarachnoid hemorrhage patients and assessing cerebral circulatory arrest in brain death evaluations.
