A woman who has never carried a pregnancy to viable gestational age, defined as 20 weeks or more. This includes women who have never been pregnant as well as those who have experienced pregnancy losses before 20 weeks gestation. The term is part of the parity classification system used to categorize women's reproductive history. A nulliparous woman may still have been pregnant but never reached the threshold for parity.
