Full Definition

The pattern, density, and characteristics of blood vessels within intraocular tumors, evaluated through fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, or color Doppler ultrasonography. Tumor vascularity provides important information about tumor biology, growth rate, and response to treatment. Highly vascular tumors may require different therapeutic approaches and often have different prognostic implications compared to poorly vascularized lesions.
