Full Definition

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a subtype of peripheral T-cell lymphoma characterized by large anaplastic cells that express CD30. In pediatric oncology, ALCL typically presents with lymph node enlargement and may involve extranodal sites. The ALK-positive variant has a better prognosis than ALK-negative forms, particularly in children and adolescents.
