Hibernomas are uncommon benign tumors that develop from brown adipose tissue remnants. In pediatric imaging, they appear as well-circumscribed masses with heterogeneous enhancement on MRI due to their vascular nature. These tumors are most commonly found in the interscapular region, axilla, and posterior neck. While benign, they require differentiation from other soft tissue masses in children through careful imaging characterization.
