Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO) is a sterile inflammatory bone condition that typically presents in childhood with recurrent episodes of bone pain and swelling. The condition is characterized by multifocal bone lesions that can affect the metaphyses of long bones, pelvis, spine, and clavicle. CRMO is considered part of the spectrum of chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis and may be associated with other inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis or inflammatory bowel disease. Treatment often involves anti-inflammatory medications and bisphosphonates.
