The juvenile Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score (jJADAS) is a modified version of the standard JADAS that removes the laboratory component (ESR or CRP) while retaining the three clinical measures: active joint count, physician global assessment, and parent/patient global assessment. This 3-component version was developed to address situations where acute phase reactants may be normal despite active disease or elevated due to non-rheumatic conditions. The jJADAS maintains strong correlation with the standard JADAS while providing a purely clinical assessment tool. Different versions exist based on joint count methodology (jJADAS71, jJADAS27, jJADAS10).
