Detrusor leak point pressure (DLPP) is the intravesical pressure at which urine leakage occurs as a result of detrusor overactivity during urodynamic studies. This measurement is particularly important in pediatric patients with neurogenic bladder, as elevated DLPP (typically >40 cmH2O) indicates increased risk for upper urinary tract deterioration. DLPP helps guide treatment decisions regarding the need for anticholinergic therapy, botulinum toxin injection, or surgical intervention.
