Full Definition
A Wellness Recovery Action Plan is a personalized wellness and recovery system developed by Mary Ellen Copeland that helps people get well, stay well, and make their lives the way they want them to be. WRAP plans are created by individuals in recovery and include sections on wellness tools, daily maintenance plans, triggers, early warning signs, crisis plans, and post-crisis recovery. In psychiatric settings, WRAP plans are integrated into treatment documentation and care coordination efforts, emphasizing consumer choice and self-determination.
