In reproductive medicine, hysteroscopy is used to diagnose and treat intrauterine pathology such as polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or septae that may interfere with implantation. The procedure can be performed in an office setting with local anesthesia or in an operating room under general anesthesia for therapeutic interventions.
