Full Definition

Exercise-induced left bundle branch block (LBBB) is an electrocardiographic abnormality that appears during exercise stress testing, characterized by QRS widening and typical LBBB morphology. This finding may indicate underlying coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, or conduction system abnormalities that become apparent only under exercise stress. In athletes, this condition requires careful evaluation as it may represent a pathological response to exercise and could indicate increased risk for cardiac events during competition.
