The BEP regimen is a three-drug combination chemotherapy protocol consisting of bleomycin, etoposide, and cisplatin (Platinol). It represents the standard of care for good and intermediate-risk metastatic testicular germ cell tumors. The regimen is typically administered over 3-4 cycles, with careful monitoring for bleomycin-induced pulmonary toxicity and cisplatin-related nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity. BEP has achieved cure rates exceeding 95% in appropriately selected patients.
