A surgical approach for treating renal cell carcinoma that aims to excise the tumor while preserving as much normal kidney parenchyma as possible. This technique includes partial nephrectomy and tumor enucleation, and is preferred over radical nephrectomy when technically feasible. The goal is to maintain renal function while achieving oncologic control, particularly important for patients with solitary kidneys, bilateral tumors, or chronic kidney disease.
