Cavernosography is a specialized radiographic procedure used to diagnose venogenic erectile dysfunction by evaluating the venous drainage of the penis. The test involves injection of contrast material into the corpora cavernosa after pharmacological erection induction, followed by imaging to identify sites of venous leakage. Dynamic infusion cavernosometry may be performed concurrently to measure flow rates and pressure maintenance. While once commonly used, cavernosography has largely been replaced by less invasive duplex ultrasonography for erectile dysfunction evaluation.
