A specialized radiographic examination that involves filling the bladder with contrast material through a catheter and then obtaining images during both the filling and voiding phases. This study provides detailed visualization of bladder anatomy, capacity, and function, as well as urethral structure during micturition. It is particularly valuable for diagnosing vesicoureteral reflux, posterior urethral valves, bladder outlet obstruction, and structural abnormalities of the lower urinary tract. The procedure is commonly performed in pediatric urology but also has applications in adult patients.
