A CRT-P (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy-Pacemaker) device is an implantable cardiac device that provides synchronized pacing to both ventricles to improve cardiac function in patients with heart failure and electrical conduction delays. Unlike CRT-D devices, CRT-P units do not include defibrillation capabilities and focus solely on optimizing cardiac mechanical function through coordinated biventricular stimulation. These devices are indicated for heart failure patients who do not meet criteria for ICD therapy but would benefit from cardiac resynchronization.
