Endoscopic ultrasound-guided biopsy (EUS-FNA/FNB) combines high-resolution endoscopic ultrasonography with fine needle aspiration or biopsy to obtain tissue samples from pancreatic and gastrointestinal lesions. This technique is particularly valuable for diagnosing pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, providing both cytological and histological material for immunohistochemical staining and grading. The procedure offers high diagnostic accuracy while avoiding the risks associated with percutaneous approaches through the peritoneum.
