trigger finger release
Surgical division of the A1 pulley to treat stenosing tenosynovitis causing finger triggering.
Full Definition
A minimally invasive surgical procedure to treat trigger finger (stenosing tenosynovitis) by cutting the A1 pulley at the base of the affected finger. This releases the constriction that prevents smooth tendon gliding, allowing normal finger flexion and extension. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgery.
Usage
Usage note: Specify which finger and whether open or percutaneous technique was used in clinical documentation.
