Full Definition

MPRAGE (Magnetization Prepared Rapid Gradient Echo) is a T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging sequence that provides excellent gray-white matter contrast and high spatial resolution. This sequence is widely used in neuroimaging for structural brain analysis, cortical thickness measurements, and volumetric studies. The magnetization preparation pulse enhances tissue contrast while the rapid gradient echo acquisition enables fast imaging with minimal motion artifacts.
