Partial anomalous pulmonary venous return - congenital condition where some pulmonary veins drain abnormally.
Full Definition
Partial anomalous pulmonary venous return (PAPVR) is a congenital heart defect where one or more, but not all, pulmonary veins connect abnormally to the right atrium or systemic venous circulation instead of the left atrium. This differs from total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR) where all pulmonary veins are misdirected. PAPVR often presents with right heart enlargement and may be associated with atrial septal defects.
