Miliaria is a common skin condition in infants and children caused by obstruction of sweat ducts, leading to retention of sweat in the skin. It presents in three main forms: miliaria crystallina (superficial clear vesicles), miliaria rubra (red papules and vesicles with surrounding erythema), and miliaria profunda (deeper flesh-colored papules). The condition is most common in hot, humid environments and typically resolves when the child is moved to a cooler environment and loose clothing is worn.
